While playing on the floor with my kids on Dec 19, 2024, I got kicked in the chest, and it hurt way worse than it should have. Then, I felt a hard spot.
On January 27, 2025, I had my first ultrasound, followed by a biopsy on the 30th, and was officially diagnosed with metastatic, invasive ductal carcinoma on January 31, 2025.
Breast cancer in men is super rare, and mine is made more rare by other contributing factors.
Assuming there are 165M men in the US, I had a 1:1,230,000 chance of this diagnosis.
The Texas Loto jackpot odds are 1:1,832,600
There is going to be a lot of pink in my life over the next year. This is very much a woman owned disease and I’m just visiting their world. It is eye opening.
I will be documenting my cancer journey here through text and video.
God will be walking with you through this journey and I know you will give Him the glory for every victory! Love You! Dad
